General

Because Mind For Me is a purpose-built platform for neighbour-to-neighbour help:

  • You earn and spend “Care Coins” based on support, not money.
  • You choose whether to ask just friends, friends of friends or a wider group, which gives you more control and privacy.
  • You build trust via ratings and reviews (not just “likes”).
  • You create an ongoing support network, not a one-off request.

No. Care Coins are earned through helping others (or via certain incentives like inviting people).

They aren’t for sale. Our aim is to promote mutual support, not a paid marketplace.

The platform automatically calculates the Care Coins, based on factors such as estimated time, effort, urgency and any extra costs that may be involved in the task.

Mind For Me is designed to work globally — phone verification, geo-location and multiple languages are built-in. More languages and currencies will be added in the future.

No – unless you want to. You can request someone who already has the necessary tools and equipment.

Profiles & Setup

We recommend entering at least your suburb or city as a minimum so you get relevant help-requests in your area. House/Unit number and Street name are optional, but recommended as it helps make it easier to connect locally.

We require email and request mobile verifications. Optional checks like Identification and Working with Children clearance are available for those who want added assurance. We also strongly encourage you to use the platform initially with friends and neighbours you already know.

Safety, Privacy and Security

When you post a help request, you can choose how broad the audience is: just your friends, friends and their friends, or everyone in your selected area.

You can even create groups to specify which of your friends you might want to ask for a specific task. You never have to post publicly unless you want to.

No. Your street-address is not shared publicly unless you choose to. Others see only the level of location you enter (ie. suburb/city).

Yes. You can change the visibility of your request at any time – expand it to more users, or restrict it to fewer.

Pricing & Subscriptions

We believe support networks should be accessible to everyone. While subscriptions exist, we keep them very low and affordable, and the features are unrestricted. No hidden paywalls for basic support.

Every new user gets a 1-month free trial, giving you enough time to build your network and experience how the platform works.

You’ll receive an option to continue with a subscription or pause the service. Your network, history and earned Care Coins remain intact.

We understand that sometimes people face tough times. That’s why we established our charitable sister organisation, The Mind For Me Foundation.

Through the Foundation, requests for help can be made by individuals or families experiencing financial hardship. The Foundation partners with other community organisations to organise free or sponsored memberships to Mind For Me, along with any additional practical support that may be needed.

No one should miss out on community connection or help when it’s needed most — the Foundation ensures that everyone has access to support and inclusion.

Additional Common Questions

Yes – inside your dashboard you’ll see your earned Care Coins, spent Care Coins, and those held for pending tasks. It’s transparent: you always know where you stand.

Not necessarily — you can request help straight away. Everyone starts with some Care Coins once their email address is verified, and you’ll receive extra Care Coins when your mobile phone number is confirmed.

You can also earn bonus Care Coins for inviting others who join, which helps grow the trusted network of people ready to lend a hand.

These simple steps not only build trust and safety within the platform, but also help grow a stronger, more supportive community — so everyone benefits together.

A wide range: babysitting, pet-walking or feeding, garden work, tool-sharing, carpooling rides, home help and more. If you need it – ask. If you can offer, you can do that too.

You can cancel or reschedule help in the platform. If the helper cancels, you’ll be notified and can repost the request to your network or broader audience.

We understand that things happen, however, depending on the circumstances or if this is repeated by members we will consider forms of penalty such as a Care Coin penalty.

The easiest way is to invite trusted friends, neighbours or family to join Mind For Me – every new connection strengthens your local support network.

You can also use the “Friends of Friends” option when posting an Offer or Request for Help. It lets your request reach a wider circle of people already connected through someone you know, helping you build new, trusted relationships naturally.

Take a moment to view other members’ profiles, including their ratings and reviews, and if it feels right, send a friendly message. Many members also choose to meet for a coffee or in small groups, turning online connections into genuine community friendships.

Our partner organisation, The Mind For Me Foundation, supports vulnerable users to get started safely and works with Organisations and Community Programs to help them access and benefit from the platform.
